Mission
As Fransalians we are here to provide a conducive atmosphere for intellectual development, to facilitate a conviction based on spiritual formation, to nurture a sense of the Divine and Transcendence, to imbue the virtues of gentleness, compassion and optimism, top impart authentic leadership training, to instill wholesome professional ethics, to encourage sports, games and work experience, to inculcate healthy food habits, to promote environmental consciousness, to extend integral education to all, to foster a caring and humane society meant to promote the marginalized and thus equip the younger generation with needed skills to become catalysts of social transformation, votaries of national integration and ambassadors of universal brotherhood.
A Short Brief About SFS School Gajuwaka
In 1847, Rev. Fr. Tissot acquired a small house near the beach and started the institution. This was the first Catholic School in Vizag. S.F.S. School, was opened in June 1997 at Gajuwaka with 100 students and 4 teachers on the staff under the leadership of Rev.Fr.JohnVadakumparambil, who pioneered the mission with much foresight and enthusiasm. In the same year, the construction of 3 storied building was undertaken. Fr. John was succeeded by Rev. Fr. George Kottam and Rev. Fr. P.J. Mathew.
It was Rev. Fr. P.J.Mathew who took charge in 1998, obtained governments recognition up to X Std in 2009. He also started the construction of the 3 storied additional building but was completed by Rev. Fr. Paul Theneth, who succeeded Fr. Methew in 2005. Again in 2006 another additional section was added to Std I to StdVII.
At Present there are 1598 students from L.K.G. to Std X and 58 members on the staff of which 44 are teaching and 14 are non-teaching.
