A Short Brief About Kotak Salesian School

The KotakSalesian School was started by Rev. Fr. Devasia Kuzhuppilm sfs, the first Provincial Superior of the then undivided Province of Visakhapatnam on17th June 1963. Since it was started in the bungalow and the property donated by Mrs. L. F. Kotak to the Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales, the school was named as Kotak Salesian School. Bro. Devaraj was the first in-charge of the school.

In 1972, Fr. M. Zacharias, then Provincial constructed an elegant school building on the other side of the road. Over the years the school has been extended adding new blocks in order to meet the growing educational needs. Now the school has permanent structures consist of 6 blocks.

The syllabus followed is both ICSE and SSC. The school has 63 teachers and 15 supporting staff and around 2100 pupils. Fr. K.V. Joseph, Fr. Joseph Thayil, Fr. Reddy Joseph, Bro. Isaac Enamattam, Fr. Joy Kuzhinyaniyi, Fr. Jerry Louis, Fr. Jose Marie Thekkekutte, Fr. George Alapatt have worked hard as Principals for the development of the Institution. At present Fr. Gorantla Joachim is the Principal of the School.
